I’ve talked about cleaning out squids into calamari before. I’ve also said I’d frozen some, so here are the rest. I wanted to so something different this time, so I coated the in spices before frying. And this time, it’s super Keto friendly.
- Cayenne pepper
- Dried mint
- Salt & pepper
- 1 egg
Put cayenne, oregano, mint, salt and pepper in a fridge bag, shake a little and add the calamari inside. Shake again until every bit of the calamari is coated. Put egg in a small bowl and whisk lightly with a fork. Before frying dip them in the egg individually.
Deep-fry the calamari. They may take a dark color because of the cayenne and the egg but don’t fret, their taste is much better than how they look! I also did half of them coated in flour but everyone loved the spicy ones. You will love them too. Enjoy.
