It’s really easy to boil meat. If you have a pressure cooker, it’s even easier. You can finish your meal in 30 minutes. However, slow cooked meal has more of your effort and patience, so it cooks with love. I use a Dutch pan so it keeps the heat around for the 3 hours it takes to come to perfection.
- 300gr Lamb’s Leg
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Onion
- Thyme braches
- Salt & Pepper
After searing all sides of the meat in a Dutch casserole pan, add the vegetables and fill with hot water just enough to cover everything in the pan. Cook for as long as you can. Preferred time is minimum 2 hours. I cooked for 3 and 1/2 hours adding water twice. You can add water if you think necessary over time. Just be sure not to add any water 1 hour before finishing cooking.
If you are using a pressure cooker, just add all the ingredients after the sear and close the lid. Pressure cooker will do all the work for you.
If you like you can take the meat off the pan and blender the rest of the juice and ingredients in the pan and turn them into a very quick gravy. Enjoy.
