Simple Chili

Chilli 2
This is another of my chili dishes. I love chili and try to cook it as often as I can. I don’t necessarily follow a recipe for chili just going with the flow, if Texans saw my dish they probably wouldn’t even call it chili. But I try to make it as authentic as possible, usually cook them for a very long time.
  • Ground beef
  • Potatoes
  • Mexican beans
  • Carrots
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Green peppers
  • Tomato paste
  • Canned whole tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Oregano
  • Dried mint
  • Cumin
  • Paprika
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Spring onions as garnish
I add the ingredients at different stages of the dish but the trick is to cook at lest for two hours on medium to low heat. Loner on low heat is preferred. If you have a slow cooker, try it on there, it will amaze you.
Since I like the chili to be spicy hot I like to cool the burn with cold yogurt on the side. Keep in mind the savior as much as the main food.
